Sunday Table returns to The Upperhouse with a menu inspired by the food, flavours and family recipes Hevi grew up with.This oneβs a little different.
Hevi, a familiar face from the Royal Hotel team, steps into the kitchen alongside Executive Chef Wayne Alger to share the dishes taught to her by her mother through years spent cooking side by side.
The result is a long lunch centred around Indonesian and Hakka flavours, shared plates across the table and the kind of afternoon that encourages you to settle in and stay awhile.
Expect dishes like choi pan, satay skewers and an eighteen-hour slow-cooked short rib rendang, finished with ice cendol for dessert.
Sunday Table is about catching up with loved ones, sharing food and taking time to enjoy being together around the table, the way we used to.
