City Winery St. Louis Presents Gospel Brunch with Michael Lampkin powered by Industrie Global live on June 27th at 12pm!
Predestined before the foundations of the world to fulfill ministry under God’s divine plan, Pastor Michael A. Lampkin was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri to Overseer Patrick L. Lampkin and Lady Joan R. Lampkin. Michael’s musical journey began at the age of six when he became a pianist — a direct answer to his father’s prayer for a dedicated musician to serve their growing ministry. Alongside his brother Marcus (a drummer), Michael practiced faithfully for six hours a day, cultivating musical excellence. Soon another gift emerged: singing. He began leading songs in his father’s group, The Inspiration of Christ, often rendering sermonic selections before his father preached. At just 12 years old, Michael preached his first sermon, “It’s Time to Be Renewed,” on June 2, 1996, at Life Victory Center under Bishop Reynolds Thomas. Since then, he has served faithfully in the Lord’s church under his father’s leadership as a Praise & Worship Leader, Armor-bearer, Choir Instructor, Foundation Teacher, President of Ministers Alliance, and later Assistant Pastor. In 2006, Overseer Patrick Lampkin transitioned leadership of Fresh Anointing Prosperity Ministry to Michael, while retaining the role of Pastor Emeritus. Under Pastor Michael Lampkin’s leadership, the ministry grew in membership, community outreach, and Kingdom impact. Outreach initiatives included “Feeding Pine Lawn” in collaboration with Better Family Life Center and colleagues in solidarity. Pastor Lampkin’s faithfulness as a Musician, Psalmist, Preacher, and Pastor has brought him before some of gospel music’s greatest voices, including Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark Sheard, Earnest Pugh, Kim Burrell, Jonathan & Jason Nelson, Le’Andria Johnson, John P. Kee, and many others.
