Bring your own mat!January Soundbaths will be led by experts from UC Health! Immerse yourself in soothing sounds produced by instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, didgeridoos, flutes, and chimes for an immersive sensory experience. Shown to promote deep relaxation and nervous system regulation, sound therapy uses sound, music, and special instruments played in therapeutic ways, combined with deep self-reflection techniques to improve health and well-being. Sonya Verma, MHSA, MBI, Sound Therapist, E-RYT 1000 Yoga Therapist, Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, has spent over 15 years studying varying somatic movement, embodiment, meditation, and bodywork practices with a focus on trauma informed care in addition to several yoga traditions. She currently provides sound immersion and yoga therapy at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati.
February Soundbaths will be led by Wild Garden Wellness who invites you to a full-body meditative experience through crystal alchemy bowls at Winterhaus! Allow the soothing vibrations and harmonious tones to wash over and guide you into a state of tranquility & balance. The vibrations from the bowls are believed to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, promoting physical, emotional and spiritual balance. Additional benefits include; improved sleep, stress relief, eased anxiety, and increased focus.
Your body temperature will drop during the sound bath, please dress in layers. Please bring a mat and you are welcome to bring a blanket for additional comfort.
