Also featuring Indus Creed, India’s iconic Rock band, who revolutionised Rock music in our country! A live performance by India’s front-running band for over 25 years, Indus Creed is considered the pioneers of rock music in the country. They blazed trails across India well before the advent of satellite TV into the country’s airwaves, setting the stage for today’s fertile indie scene. Their pathbreaking albums are still considered seminal works. So get ready for this multi-award-winning band that first put India on the international rock map.
There is also an opening act by the Ananth Menon Quartet, who will perform a mix of tracks from the Woodstock '69 concert, peppered with a few other rock favourites. The band consists of Ananth Menon (voice, guitar), Kaushik Kumar (voice, bass), Prabhat Gopal (guitar) and John Melvin (drums). Ananth Menon is a well known blues and rock artists from Bangalore, India. He was the founding member of popular Bangalore rock band Galeej Gurus. He was also involved with several other Bangalore acts, such as Parachute XVI, By2 Blues and the Chronic Blues Circus. Some of the evergreen artists that played for Woodstock ’69 are Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Tim Hardin, Country Joe and the Fish, and so many more.
