About this Event
Sunday Slowdown, hosted by Laura and Tom of Found in Sound, is a sonic space in Greenwich for rest, release, and reconnection. It’s an invitation to sit in stillness, soften emotional noise, and realign with your natural state of harmony through the transformative power of sound.
After settling in, this session begins with a grounding meditation accompanied by the sound of the bass drum whose low frequencies begin activating the 'rest and digest' response in your body, helping you to relax and arrive fully in your body and the present.
From here, you're immersed in layers of healing tones, frequencies, and vibration to help calm the mind, rebalance the nervous system, and relax the body.
Instruments such as crystal singing bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, monochord, the voice, chimes and gentle percussion, create harmonics, vibrations and frequencies that entrain and slow down the heart & mind's rhythms, guiding them into a slower, more restorative state of rest and coherence. It's in this place that the body begins to self-heal, repair, and replenish. Tension and blockages are moved, and flow on all levels is restored.
Tom and Laura play with healing intention, using tones and intervals that encourage cellular symmetry and restore a sense of harmony within. Where possible, Found in Sound align sound bath sessions with the timing of a new moon, full moon, or a bigger celestial event to amplify intentions, and the energy of healing & renewal available to participants.
As part of your after care, you’ll receive a herbal 'peace' tea to take home with you to continue the experience at home.
Please bring your own kit with you.
