Hopsters Sunday Sessions Presents:John E & Bryan Estepa
John EJohn Encarnação is a singer-songwriter who has released seven albums of original material: four for solo project Warmer, and three with The Nature Strip, where he shares songwriting credits with Peter Marley (bassist of Winter Starlings).
For this show he’ll concentrate on songs written for both groups over the last ten years – known entities such as “Break Through”, Beautiful Brain” and “Get So High I Can’t Get Down” as well as new songs currently being recorded with The Nature Strip such as “Baby Beast” and “Wavelength”.
John is also an academic and author; his book on Ed Kuepper’s album Honey Steel’s Gold will be published later this year by Bloomsbury as part of the 33 1/3 Oceania series.

Bryan Estepa is an Australian singer-songwriter who has been part of the Australian independent music scene for over 20 years and once been labelled one of ‘Sydney’s best kept secrets’.
Estepa has released 7 critically acclaimed studio albums (All The Bells And Whistles, Sunday Best, Vessels, Heart Vs Mind, Every Little Thing, Sometimes I Just Don’t Know and Adeline ‘The Early Years’), 2 EP’s (Back To The Middle and Start Again) and undertaken several tours through Australia, Europe, USA, Japan and The Philippines.
