Join us for the very second Sunday Nordic Walking Hangout on Surfside Beach! 🌴🥾Every Sunday we're gathering at Surfside Beach (along the scenic Surfside Walking Path / Beach Hard Path, roughly between 87th–96th Streets, near Collins Ave).
What to expect:
Come hang out, chat, and relax on the beach
Free loaner Nordic Walking poles (we'll bring about 20 sets)
Technique tips and demos for beginners from experienced walkers/coaches
Walk the path as much or as little as you like — from casual strolls to full sessions
Swim in the ocean, sunbathe, enjoy the vibe
Feel free to bring your own drinks, snacks, or picnic (BYOB / bring your own snacks — totally optional!)
If the group feels like it, we can add fun mini-challenges or casual races
Everything is completely free, no registration required, come solo or bring friends. Perfect for all levels — complete beginners welcome!
Meeting spot: Surfside Beach, beach entrance near 93rd–96th Street (look for the group by the Surfside Community Center area or 96th Street Park / pavilion). We'll be right on the beach near the path entrance.
Parking info:
Convenient municipal parking lot across the street from the Surfside Community Center / Town Hall at 200 block of 93rd Street (just cross the road to the beach).
Another option: 93rd Street and Collins Avenue lot (south side).
Rates: $1 per hour (3-hour maximum, non-renewable). Pay via multi-space meters or the PayByPhone app.
Street parking available nearby on 93rd Street or surrounding blocks (check signs for restrictions). Arrive early on busy days!
