We start with a gentle movement meditation to tune into our bodies. Playful movement tasks follow to connect to the space and each other. The first hour offers an introduction to contact improvisation before we dive into the open jam. Here you can improvise freely and explore movements and sounds both alone and together with others.
Dance experience is not required!
Musicians are very welcome to bring their own instruments and jam with us.
The ImproJam is held in English or Norwegian.
Doors open 15 minutes before the event and will be closed by the start of the event.
Drop-in price: 50-250 NOK (Sliding scale)
The sliding scale system allows you to pay according to your financial situation. By paying more you make it possible for others to pay less. Drop-in price must be paid upon arrival before the event cash or via VIPPS to 48668556

Bio: Ingeborg Dugstad Sanders: "My journey into the world of CI started when I studied at the Laban Centre in London from 2001-2004 - particularly through an in-depth project with CI-legend Kirstie Simson. I proceeded to join different events and festivals around Europe and hosted NIM (Nordic Impro Meeting) in 2006 together with Ingrid Remmen. When returning to my birth city Trondheim in 2009 I joined VIB - verksted for improvisert bevegelse with Mari Flønes and Luis Delle Mea, running a series of jams and improvised performances until 2014. I currently keep exploring CI in Danselaboratoriet - a dance company with dancers with and without disabilities, as well as teaching workshops."
Anna Thu Schmidt is a dance artist with a passion for dance improvisation, interdisciplinary collaborations, site-specific performances, and integrated dance. She holds a B.A. in Dance in Education (ArtEZ University of the Arts Arnhem/Netherlands) and M.A. in Dance Studies (NTNU). Anna leads ImproDans Trondheim and Samtidsdans for voksne Trondheim, and started up PRAXIS Trondheim and Ecstatic Dance in Trondheim.
