D&D FOR BEGINNERSCome down to Imaginary Wars and learn the basics of getting started in Dungeons & Dragons!

RECOMMENDED AGE: 12 years and up
*The entry fee goes toward paying our resident DM for that session. If you cannot make it to the session and must cancel, the fee cannot be refunded nor transferred forward to any future D&D sessions.
WE SUPPLY:
Dice, gaming materials, instruction and miniatures.
LIMITED SPOTS: RESERVE EARLY!
D&D is ideally played with groups of 4-6 players plus a referee (called a Dungeon Master). Our Beginner D&D sessions have a hard cap of six players.
We will do our best to accommodate everyone who wants to join in, but we can only guarantee spots for those who pre-register and pre-pay for that day.
BEGINNER FRIENDLY!
This is event is suitable for:
- People who have never played a role-playing game and don't know how to get started
- People who want to learn how to play D&D but don't know anyone else who's interested in role-playing games
To get players into the action faster, the Dungeon Master will be providing pre-made characters for the players.
People who come to this session will learn:
- what all the information on the character sheet means
- the basic mechanics of the D&D
- how encounters & combat works
- the bare basics to D&D's system for magic and spells
ABOUT FEBRUARY'S NEW HOBBY, NEW SYSTEM, NEW ARMY MONTH
Jump into playing a new army or a new game system!
Even if you’re not an established player, February is the month for you to jump into a new hobby and start collecting, painting and playing miniature games (plus Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering!)
Each weekend, from February first to March first, we’ll be teaching different games so that you can discover a new game that might even one day be your favourite game!
When you attend one of our Learn-to-Play days, you will get access to a deal on an army set, starter box or core rules book for that game via a coupon. The Introductory Gaming Day coupon will be valid for one month after that Learn-to-Play date.
If you attend more than one Learn-to-Play Day, you will get a bonus above and beyond the Introductory Gaming Day coupon! You’ll get 500 bonus points for the store’s Imaginary Dollars rewards point system (a points amount you’d normally only get only by spending $50).
If you decide to come to more than two or more Learn-to-Play Day afternoons over February, you’ll get 250 bonus points for each day you participate in!
