Paul Ledman recently published a book which has already proven to be a bestseller in the Greater Portland area: "Portland, Maine: Connections Across Time." Paul is also the author of the local bestseller, “Walking Through History: Portland, Maine on Foot” - a book of historical walking tours of Portland that makes connections between today's urban landscape and much of the history that made Portland the city it is today. During its almost 400 years of recorded history, Portland has seen economic boom times as well as war, massacres, economic downturns, riots, urban renewal and destructive fires. Every corner and every street has borne witness to some part of that story.
