Our focus this season has been to craft a program for you of very familiar songs from Broadway and Movie Musicals of the last couple decades. We’ll sing songs for you from some of the “Juke Box Musicals” (musicals that take pop songs from an earlier era and create a whole show with them) like Mamma Mia, and the Queen musical, We Will Rock You, which had a long run in London's West End.
Songs from recent remakes of old favorites, like the recent film adaptation of West Side Story, and songs from recent movie musicals like The Greatest Showman and Kinky Boots.
As ever, the underlying theme is JOY! We experience joy by singing together, even when we’re rehearsing a hard song, with lots of extra rehearsal time required. We experience joy when the rehearsing pays off and we finally get it right! But most of all, we Sing for Joy! Every time we sing for YOU and see the delight you give back to us!
Clear your evening either Friday, May 15th, or Saturday, May 16th, and come join us. We’ll be singing at the Methodist/ Congregational Church at 79 Clinton Street, at 7pm, and you will leave with a grin and many songs in your heart!
