Join the Garden Club of Elizabethtown for a unique, historic art experience where the sun does the painting! In this captivating session, participants will learn the historic art of cyanotype printing—a simple chemical process that uses sunlight to create beautiful blue-and-white images. We’ll use flowers, leaves, and other plant materials gathered from the garden to create stunning, detailed prints. Participants will arrange their specimens on special cyanotype paper, expose it to the sun, and then use water to reveal the vibrant "Prussian Blue" color. Everyone will walk away with a personalized, archival piece of nature art and a deep understanding of how light and plants interact! This program is part indoor / part outside, so please dress accordingly and don't forget sunscreen.
