We are holding our annual Summertime Fayre on Sunday 12th July 10am - 4pm on the Great Field in Poundbury. This much-loved event brings together a wide range of stalls, entertainment, and activities, all while helping us raise vital unrestricted funds to support older people across North, South & West Dorset.
The Annual Age UK North, South & West Dorset Summer Fayre brings the community together in a joyful celebration of local spirit, togetherness, and generosity. Held in the heart of Poundbury, the event is more than just a lively day of entertainment — its plays a crucial role in raising awareness and vital funds for the charity.
Despite the familiar Age UK name, Age UK North, South & West Dorset is a completely independent local charity, based right here in Poundbury. It receives no funding from the national Age UK charity, local authorities, or government sources. Instead, it relies solely on the generosity and support of the local community to continue its vital work. Events like the Summertime Fayre provide an essential opportunity to raise awareness, correct these misunderstandings, and engage directly with the community it serves.
