This summer, we are bringing the focus back to building a strong foundation.
The EDJ Summer White Belt Camp is a focused 3-day experience dedicated to strengthening important skills every Jiu-Jitsu practitioner must develop early: guard application, real self-defense awareness, and mount survival & attacks.
While this camp is designed specifically for white belts, it is open to all belts and will provide tremendous value for practitioners at every level.
Friday, June 5
🔹 7:00 PM – Special Self-Defense Guard Seminar (free for all EDJ students & affiliates)
With Professor Juan Pablo Garcia & Kim Bowser
How to utilize your guard effectively in real self-defense situations.
You will learn when to close distance, when to create space, how to control posture, and how to apply guard principles beyond sport scenarios.
Saturday, June 6
🔹 11:00 AM – Open Sparring Session (free for EDJ members & affiliates)
Structured open mat focused on applying the guard concepts and live training.
Note: Both Saturday 12 pm & Sunday 1 pm seminars require prior registration.

🔹 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM – Special Seminar with GM Joe Moreira
An opportunity to learn directly from Grand Master Joe Moreira, one of the pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States. Expect technical precision, conceptual clarity, and powerful fundamentals that stand the test of time.

The Fundamentals of the Mount Position
Escapes. Attacks. Positional control.
Followed by specific training rounds and situational sparring designed to build confidence under pressure.
