Join us for a Bank Holiday Sunday Summer Warm-Up session at our venue in Edinburgh, the People's Leisure Club. with a number of acts who were due to play our Jazz Weekend at kelburn, which was sadly cancelled. It's an evening of hot live music from 2 of Scotland's most exciting bands alongside DJ sets covering soul, funk, hip-hop, afrobeats, house and beyond.
Following the sadness of the cancellation of the Jazz Weekend it will be a great consolation for the artists and us to get a good vibe going for this so we hope you can join us.
Kai Reesu: Inspired by video game music, hip-hop beat making, and the greats of 70s jazz fusion, Kai Reesu aim to forge a new space between jazz and hip hop. Their debut LP "Kompromat Vol. 1" bagged the Scottish Album album of the year in 2025. A must-see act.
Becca Sloan: A rising neo-soul and r'n'b artist making waves in Scotland's flourishing jazz scene.
Athens of the North: world-famous local record label who push forgotter soul, funk, boogie, house sounds.
DJ Chilli Flakes: New to the scene, a bad-ass selector of afrobeats and afro-house music.
Jazz Spastiks: Cult Fife-based dusty hip-hop producers with a global fan-base.
Chris Astrojazz: Kelburn curator and versatile DJ.
The event runs from 7pm to 2am.
Tickets cost £10 advance or £12 on the door.
