Founded in 1229 by Queen Ermengarde, these peaceful ruins have stood for 800 years. Join our one-hour guided tourof the abbey grounds, learnaboutthelives of those who lived here, and discover the compelling mystery of its Royal founderand the ancient Spanish chestnut tree.
The Queen was buried at the high altar,but her remains were later disturbedandseemingly lost. Or were they? Join us and decide for yourself!
