Summer Teen Fiction Filmmaking Program
Join us for our new 5-week Summer Intensive Teen Beginner Animation Program in Washington D.C.! Get ready to unleash your creativity and learn the art of stop-action motion and 2D drawn and digital animation, including how to make a short film.
This in-person event offers a fantastic opportunity for teens to explore their passion for storytelling through art, drawing and film. You will have a unique chance to meet interesting professionals and see how they work. You will be part of a group of young filmmakers aged 14-18 (we will accept 13 year old if interested) whose animated works will be premiered at the end of the course as a part of a DCIFF public event.
We ask for participants to aim for 75% attendance and we give Certifiactes of Completion to those who do and their names will be included in the final film credtis as cast or crew.
Meeting schedule: June 24-July 26, Mon to Fri 1-6pm, in-person
July 26th afternoon is the public screening of all the final work
Venue is two blocks from Dupont Circle Metro Station in a safe and secure facility.
Cost: FREE of charge for all the participants with a required $45 (DC residents) / $65 (non DC residents) registration fee to cover incidentals and snacks due June 20th, 2024.
