Summer Studio: Oil Painting (Middle & High School Students)

5 Day Workshop: Dates: 6/1 - 6/5, 2026 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Ages: 11 - 18

Spend time in the studio exploring oil painting at WKCTC's Paducah School of Art & Design. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of working in oils while painting a variety of engaging subject. Students will learn about materials, color mixing, brushwork, and layering techniques in a supportive, creative environment.

Held in PSAD’s dedicated painting studio, this course also offers participants the opportunity to experience the creative space firsthand and see where artists develop their skills. Whether you’re brand new to painting or returning after time away, this class offers a way to build confidence, grow creatively, and explore what’s possible.
