Come and join us at Tinkd Makerspace in Tauranga CBD for a hands-on taster kits activity during the summer holidays! We have created fun taster kits aimed at allowing participants to learn how to use the amazing equipment we have at Tinkd.With the 3D Printing Taster Kit you will create and design your own name tag using an easy-to-use application for 3D design and prepare your file for the 3D printer. You'll also get to choose the filament colour for your final bubble wand.
IMPORTANT- This session requires some familiarity with a computer and a mouse.
IS THIS A WORKSHOP?
No. This is a self-guided session for you and your child. Each kits contain step by step instructions to help you achieve a successful end project with the help of the adult who accompanies the child and with supervision from the Tinkd team.
DO I NEED TO STAY WITH MY CHILD?
An adult helper must stay and work with the child, each adult helper can supervise no more than 3 children.
WHAT'S THE IDEAL AGE FOR THIS ACTIVITY?
This session is suitable for children aged 8 to 16 years old. It should be able to be completed within the 1 hour window, and may even be finished earlier than this.
