This series will highlight Black artists and creatives over the course of several exciting programs including live performances, Tuesday Night Dance classes, and more!
About the Artist
Boogaloo Assassins are a Southern Californian-based 12-piece orquesta specializing in original Latin boogaloo, salsa, and Latin soul. A Los Angeles institution, Boogaloo Assassins’ debut record Old Love Dies Hard celebrated its 10-year anniversary re- release on Nu-Tone Recordings in 2023. Guaranteed to keep dancefloors full, Boogaloo Assassins hit single 7-inch record “No No No” has led them to entertain thousands of Latin music fans throughout California, in New York City, and to modern Salsa music’s home - Bogota and Cali, Colombia.
Boogaloo is a genre of Latin music and dance that originated in 1960s New York City developed by and for Black and brown communities.
