About this Event
Bring your family and enjoy the gardens from 1-2pm (a garden tour will be provided for all interested), then settle in for a collaboration show of many artists that support our families, creating spaces where we can come together with healing songs!
Starting off our music line-up will be Alexa & The Folk! Alexa and Alex's soulful folk music have become anthems that root resilience and joy in the hearts of listeners and fast favorites with children, parents and elders alike. Alexa and Alex have an amazing heart for village, welcoming us all to a space where we can be fully ourselves. You won't want to miss this!
Next, Ian Love will share his heart-centered melodies that have been borne of sorrow and joy, grief and healing. His music holds the tenderness of both our grace and our challenges. A beloved uncle himself, Ian centers women and children in his life and warmly welcomes all to his events in an effort to bring us all deeper into the heart of love.
Mid-way through, we will introduce a very special set for moms and families with a performance from Helen Buzzetti, a mom of two, accompanied by artists in the group. Helen has had a special relationship to music since becoming pregnant with her first child. It's been on her heart to share songs she's received during motherhood to honor and uplift moms. Special guests will continue to be added as we welcome more parents to the stage.
A collaborative nature activity for your young ones will come after this, building a nature mandala as we honor mothers and the Great Mother whose loving heart of abundance we share and take part in stewarding.
Music will continue afterwards with Marcelo Guitron, whose rich and lively music are a balm for all to hear. Listeners often feel something nostalgic and comforting in his music and there is a tapestry of influences in his artistry. Utilizing years of experience, Marcelo takes audiences on a journey of soulful sound that is uplifting for the heart and soul.
Eric Alterman will close out the night with sweet serenades, accompanied by friends. Grounded in guitar and cello, his distinctive sound blends folk and Americana with Brazilian influences, shaped by his years living in Rio de Janeiro. Onstage, he is joined by a rotating ensemble (drums, bass, percussion, trumpet, and violin) that blends folk and jazz improvisation with Brazilian-inspired grooves, performing sets that range from intimate storytelling to full-band peaks
This is a family-friendly event, but all are welcome who would like to share in this special space together. Multi-generations encouraged; please email us if you have any access needs.
