Summer Solstice Yoga On The Beach - A beach yoga class open to the community! Join Andrea L Wehlann for a yoga class taught for everyone and every body. Bring your mat/blanket and enjoy the fabulous sunset on the aptly named Sunset Beach in St. Catharines Ontario. Drummers always welcome!
Andrea is the very first yoga teacher to have taught in St. Catharines in 2012. She has been offering this event for several years and it is her gift to the community and pleasure to be able to do so. Her first year she had 11 attendees and the second year that number rose to 30. Now her event has hundreds of followers and each year it gains more, her favourite beach is where she offers this experience now, Sunset Beach.
This event takes place on the longest sunlit day of the year. Gentle yoga begins as the sun edges towards the horizon over Lake Ontario. Settle onto your mat/blanket as Andrea guides you through a gentle yoga session suitable for all bodies. Emerge from Savasana (final relaxation) surrounded by the soft sounds of the waves, heartbeat and drums. Feel the energy around you rise as the rhythm takes over, inviting you to join in as the sun sets over the beach. A truly unique and surreal experience for all to enjoy. Drumming and dancing is truly unique.
