Join us for a soul-nourishing Summer Solstice Day Retreat at the serene Surya Chandra Center, nestled in the rolling landscape of Oregon’s wine country. This special gathering invites you to step away from the pace of everyday life and into a day of presence, reflection, and renewal in a beautiful natural setting.
The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year — a powerful moment to celebrate light, growth, and the energy of new possibilities. Together, we’ll honor this seasonal turning point through grounding rituals, mindful movement, and immersive sound experiences designed to help you reconnect with yourself and the natural world around you.
We’ll begin the day by gathering in community for a gentle grounding circle and intention-setting practice, allowing you to pause, breathe, and reflect on what you wish to call into the months ahead. From there, the experience unfolds throughout the peaceful 55-acre property, inviting you to move slowly and intentionally through each element of the day.
You’ll enjoy a rejuvenating yoga session on the open-air deck overlooking the surrounding landscape, offering a chance to stretch, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your body in the fresh summer air. Later, we’ll journey into a deeply restorative guided meditative sound journey featuring crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other vibrational instruments designed to calm the nervous system and create space for deep inner stillness.
Guests will also be invited to walk the land’s beautiful labyrinth, a contemplative path used for centuries as a moving meditation. This gentle ritual offers a meaningful opportunity to release what no longer serves you and symbolically step forward into the next chapter of your life with clarity and intention.
Throughout the day, there will be moments to reflect, journal, and simply rest in the peaceful energy of the land. Nourishing snacks and a thoughtfully prepared lunch will be provided, allowing you to savor the flavors of the season while connecting with fellow guests in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
