About this Event
Join us for the first in our in-person Folk Herbalism Series, beginning with the herbs of summer.
Together, we will explore this solar seasonal festival, connecting both to ourselves and the land at this vibrant point in the year. Guided by folklore, tradition, and intuitive plant wisdom, we will meet the herbs of summer - learning their stories, their magic, and how they have been used for generations.
In this workshop we will learn the art of tincture crafting, focusing on calming, restorative nervine herbs - traditionally used to support and balance the central nervous system. You’ll create your own herbal tincture to take home, offering a practical way to continue your connection beyond the day.
Community and connection are at the heart of these seasonal gatherings. Following the workshop, we will share a fireside communal meal - a nourishing seasonal stew made with foraged ingredients, alongside herbal teas we have gathered together. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or dietary requirements (the meal will be vegan and gluten-free)
This event marks the beginning of a series following the wheel of the year, each gathering including:
- Seasonal insights into the festival and its energy
- Folk herbalism - exploring the magical and medicinal properties of herbs
- Foraging and connecting to wild plants
- A hands-on herbal creation to take home, learning a different herbal preparation each time
- A shared fireside meal to close the day in community
Our intention is to cultivate both community connection and a deeper relationship with the natural world through shared knowledge, seasonal practice, and gathering.
We have two low-income tickets available. Please message us directly to access these, as we would love to prioritise those who would otherwise not be able to attend. Email: [email protected]
