Summer Solstice is coming back this year at the Ralph Whitten Shelter in Lions Park (72nd St and NW Aurora Ave, Urbandale). Baronial Championships will be held for armored combat, cut & thrust, and arts & sciences.
Their Excellencies will hold Baronial Court.
Bring a project and there may be classes. (Let us know if there is something you would like to teach!) This is an in-garb event.
We will have a potluck again. It's sure to be delicious! The Barony will provide plates, cups, napkins, utensils, and water. Alcohol is permitted on site but limited to beer and wine in single-serve containers only. If you are bringing a cook pot, consider adding an extension cord and/or power strip.
No event fee, but there will be a jar at gate for donations to help cover site cost and supplies. Please do sign the waiver as usual. Only service animals permitted indoors. Do not drive on the grass. Do not bring shade flys for outdoors - they require an extra permit and cost.
