DSM Web Geeks July meetup is Monday, 7/8 at 6:30pm! Blake Mulnix from Source Allies will be presenting on "Typesafe Graph QL in React."
We will start with an overview of GraphQL's advantages over traditional REST APIs. Next, we'll demonstrate how to communicate between GraphQL backend and a TypeScript React app, and learn the power of GraphQL Codegen for auto-generating types and enabling type safety. Finally, we'll cover the fundamentals of sending queries using Apollo Client, showcasing how it simplifies data fetching in React. By the end of this session, you'll be equipped with the foundations to start using these tools in your own projects!
About the speaker: Blake Mulnix is a software engineer based in Eastern Iowa. He is currently working as a consultant on the Source Allies team, helping to enable partners to deliver great software, ahead of schedule. Before Source Allies, Blake spent time developing software in a variety of business realms, from Fortune 500 companies to startups. Other passions include gravel biking, photography, and long (really long) road trips.
