What is the 76® Summer Short Track Shootout p/b Carolina Volkswagen? A four-race series that provides a unique and fun style of racing on a 1.5 mile trail combines elements of BMX, cyclo-cross and single-track...it's super fast and very spectator-friendly. Participants, based on category, will race 4 to 8 laps on the super fun, fast course. We plan to have a food truck, an event photographer, and music at all of the events.
Series points will be earned in all categories plus participants in select categories will qualify for the weekly finals race. If a participant wins all four finals races, the will be driving a new Volkswagen for the next year. The series awards will be handed out after the last race in the series. It will take a little more time as each will need to be calculated. We will have a podium presentation for the top 5 overall in each category.
