Summer Session I: Handbuilding an Imagination tower

Imagination Tower
Come on a journey and let your imagination build a ceramic tower and decorate it with whimsical fantasy, story book themes.
Basic construction starts with a hand built cylinder tower. You will be guided through planning the base, texture, and lip of your creation. Each student will use their creativity to develop the theme, construct, and add embellishments to make their idea come to life. Clay embellishments will be explored using textures, molds, natural elements, slip trailing and templates.

All sales are final. No refunds will be given. If you must cancel for a health or family-related reason, please contact our studio manager for a possible credit towards a future class

Where to Go & What to Bring:

- Your class will meet each week at the Concho Clay Studio. We are part of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, located at 1 Love Street, San Angelo, TX. 76903. Look for our signs outside the studio! Our entrance is located to the left of the main museum, up the ramp in the breezeway.

Tools are provided for all classes. Please be prepared to pay for clay during your first class. We can accept cash, check, or credit cards for payment. Museum members, seniors, and military get 10% off Concho Clay purchases. You can become a museum member online at https://www.samfa.org/support or in person at the studio. We do not allow outside clay to be brought in for classes. All clay must be purchased here at the studio.

Please be prepared to pay for plaster and possibly silicone.

If you register for any 4-8 week ceramic class you also get full access to Open Studio hours to work outside of class while enrolled in a class.

Open Studio is not a substitute for a class. There is no instruction or demonstrations, as no instructor will be available during these hours. Staff will be available for questions or concerns as needed by students and members.

During the 8-week fall session, the studio is open for independent work at the following times:

• Tuesday........12 PM – 4 PM
• Wednesday.... 5 PM – 9 PM
• Thursday........12 PM – 4 PM
• Friday.............10 AM –8 PM
• Saturday........10 AM – 3 PM

• This class is for adults aged 18+. Concho Clay Studio offers childrens programming for ceramic courses. We are now registering for our upcoming Youth Clay Collective!
• Only one ticket may be purchased at a time. Please use the name and contact information for the student taking the course if you are purchasing a ticket for another person.
• There is a minimum registration of 3 students required for a class to make. If a class does not meet the minimum student requirement, you will be refunded and notified as soon as possible.
