This programme of lighter music includes Doreen Carwithen’s Suffolk Suite which develops tunes the composer originally used in her music for the 1954 film “East Anglian Holiday”, Eric Coates’ Summer Days Suite, and Stanford’s (arr. Pitfield) Songs of the Sea for chorus and orchestra with the aptly titled song, ‘O Devon in wind and rain’!
