About this Event
This summer RJ4All will be putting on three unique events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and its history. Whether you are interested in exploring what it means to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community, learning more about its history or participating in discussions about queer representation in film, we would love to see you here. If you decide to come, expect to meet new people in a warm and welcoming community!
Restorative Justice Peace Circle (Friday 28th of June, 2pm - 5:30pm)
The RJ4All Pride Series will begin with our Restorative Justice peace circle focused on the theme of Identity. Led by our experienced volunteer facilitators, participants will be invited to participate in sharing their experiences, make connections, and explore identity in this safe space.
Storytelling Workshop (Tuesday July 30th, 3pm - 5:30pm)
We invite local youth groups and Southwark residents of all ages to join our spoken word workshop in collaboration with local LGBTQ+ artists. A chance to get creative with storytelling, poetry, and art. We will combine creative expression with historical exploration with the ultimate goal of empowering LGBTQ+ voices across generations.
LGBTQ+ Film Celebration with Discussion (Friday 30th of August, 3pm - 5:30pm)
Mixing education and entertainment, you are invited to join our film screening at the RJ4All Community Centre which celebrates LGBTQ+ representation and history. A space for collective appreciation of LGBTQ+ art. There will also be an opportunity to explore dialogue surrounding LGBTQ+ representation and exchange thoughts on your favourite films.
