About Our Summer CampGet ready to shift into high gear at the Petersen Automotive Museum’s Summer of Speed summer camp!
Designed for students in Grades 3–5, this one-week camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday - Friday, with optional extended care hours available. Campers will explore the history of racing, learn what it takes to be part of a real race team, and put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test as they design and build their own cars. The excitement builds all week long and culminates in a thrilling race day finale, where campers get to race the cars they created!
Perfect for young car enthusiasts, designers, and future engineers, Summer of Speed blends hands-on learning, teamwork, and high-energy fun in an iconic museum setting.
Drop-Off Begins at 9:00 AM. Pick-Up from 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM.
Extended Hours (3PM - 6PM) are available during registration.
Lunches and Snacks ARE NOT provided.
