Event Overview
Get ready for neon nights, cold drinks, and hot tiles at Summer of Mahj: Mahjong on Tap at Aslin DC — a retro-inspired summer mahjong night with major Miami Vice vibes.
Whether you’re brand new to American mahjong or already know your way around the NMJL card, there’s a seat for you at the table. We’ll have both Mahjong 101 for Beginners and Hosted Social Play for Experienced Players throughout the evening.
Expect good music, great company, raffle drawings, and a fun summer atmosphere at one of DC’s favorite brewery spaces.

Feeling the retro vibe? Rock your best Miami Vice-inspired look [think neon, pastels, linen, sunglasses, tropical prints, or 80s summer energy] and you’ll receive an extra raffle ticket for the evening.

What to Bring
Social Play: Please bring your 2026 NMJL card. If you don’t have yours yet, I’ll have a limited number of 2026 NMJL cards available for purchase on site for $20 while supplies last.
Mahjong 101 Beginners: I’ll have a card available for you to use during instruction.
