Sharing Day Sunday 18 August
A six-day stop-motion animation workshop for young people. You will create a series of short, animated films about the best thing about living in Tower Hamlets.
You will work in small groups and use mobile phones to shoot modelling clay miniatures. Professional animators will show you how to edit onto a computer. You will to create a series of 2-3 minutes animated films. The clips will be put together into a final 20-minute short film celebrating what makes Tower Hamlets a great place to live. The final animation will celebrate our diversity and strength in unity.
You will learn animation techniques and narrative structure. You will gain experience of working in a team, time management, focus and concentration.
We will use everyday items such as mobile phones and modelling clay. This means that you can replicate techniques and continue animating after the animation project is over.
Final animated films will be showcased on sharing day. They will also be entered in film festivals.
