YSC offers a fortnightly event, in place of the weekly Mess, throughout June, July and August for members and non members.
About this Event

'Summer Mess Events' @YSC is taking place every other Tuesday between 4.30pm-6.30pm, throughout June, July and August 2024, with planned group activities. We'll be open to members and non members at a price of £2 pp on the day. Book through the link but please do let us know if you cannot make it, 24 hours in advance, so we can give the places to other people. We won't be able to take any walk ins, due to the planning of resources and staffing.

June 11th - WALL MURAL and PICNIC - We'd like to paint the back wall of the garden, with sunny and cheerful designs, under the supervision of artist and teacher Sadie Medway. ~ meanwhile we'll be making our own picnic and enjoying a bite to eat outside and altogether. We do have a wet weather contingency!

June 25th - CRABBING and BBQ - We will be taking a little walk to Victoria Quay for a crabbing competition, (bring your own crabbing equipment if you have it) we can provide materials and prizes. We will wander back to YSC for a BBQ and prize giving.

July 9th - THE EGG DROP CHALLENGE and PIZZA - We challenge you to make a 'landing craft' for an uncooked egg to dropped at a significant height, using nothing but recycled materials. The winners receive a prize. Get a team together and book in! There will be sneaky surprises, extra challenges and a bit of science along the way! Topped off with homemade pizzas and prize giving.

July 23rd - SCAVENGER HUNT and BBQ - We'll be taking you on a scavenger hunt around beautiful Batson for treasure and a chilled early evening to enjoy the sights and sounds before the summer holidays start. There will be some twists and turns! Then we'll come back to YSC for a a BBQ

August 13th- PRIZE BINGO - SARNIES AND BROWNIES - The famous YSC BINGO takes on a professional stance! Roll up and Eyes down for a fun early evening of BINGO and sarnies/ brownies and fun. What will you win?

August 20th - BATIK AND TIE DYE TSHIRTs - Last time we tie dyed TShirts we had a great time - we've got T-shirts and an idea on how to make T-shirts into handy bags! Come be creative, make something special and enjoy your own homemade pizza, in the garden....
