Summer Solstice is a magical time. In the Northern hemisphere, it marks the first day of Summer and the longest day of the year. It’s a celebration of the Sun and the bounty it brings. It’s a perfect day to reconnect with life’s divine plan and to feel a deep connection to Self, Source and the natural world. Reflecting on your journey and honoring your intentions is a wonderful way to commemorate the Summer Solstice.
In yoga, the number 108 is a representation of spiritual completion. It is viewed as a number of the wholeness and used in meditation and prayer throughout many cultures. This number also connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth: The average distance of the Sun and the Moon to Earth is 108 times their respective diameters.
At our Summer Mala 108 Sun Salutations event we want to offer you a way of setting intentions for the new Summer season and honoring your highest Self through a powerful 108 Mala practice.
What to expect at this event:
- An intention setting ceremony to help us honor and manifest our deepest wishes for the Summer season.
- An enlightening practice of 108 Sun Salutations led by the Yoga Guides of Lifted Lotus Yoga Collective.
- A guided meditation created to help you let go of Spring and welcome Summer
Planning to attend?? Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and any props you may want to use. We can’t wait to welcome in the new season through contemplation, breath and movement with all of you!
