It's time for SBCC Summer Jazz!
Come and study with our fantastic jazz department staff and get a head start on learning the art of improv, section playing, transcribing and more!
Students will receive instruction in jazz theory, jazz history, small group performance, big band performance, and also meet once per week for instruction with a professional who plays their instrument.
Dates for the Jazz Seminar are July 6th to August 6th, Monday - Thursday 1pm - 3:30pm. If you are going to miss a few weeks due to vacation or band camp during this time, it is just fine; we would rather involve as many students as possible for as much time as possible.
All ages and levels are welcome (at least one year of experience on your instrument is preferred).
