About Boot: Roland “Boot” Boutwell, a freelance itinerant naturalist, has been leading nature walks for The Friends of the Fells for nearly 25 years. He has also led walks and/or taught botany programs for a number of other organizations including The Trustees of Reservations, Arlington Community Education, The Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, Winchester public schools, Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester, The New England Wild Flower Society and the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
About the Walk: Summer is here! The Summer Solstice arrived on Thursday, June 20th. Join Boot Boutwell at Bellevue Pond for a nature walk in search of wildflowers and other cool plants of summer. The walk will focus on plant ID as well as on fun and interesting natural history about the plants we see.
We’ll meet at the Bellevue Pond parking lot which is opposite 70 South Border Road, Medford. Arrive early, parking is limited.
