About this Event
Toi Rauwhārangi, College of Creative Arts is offering a week-long intensive course in the brand-new photography facilities on the Pukeahu campus. You'll get to create a body of work using specialist tools and processes under the guidance of Photographer Johanna Mechen.
During the course, you will be introduced to 35mm film camera operation and film exposure. You will explore the darkroom where you’ll learn film processing and print making. You’ll experiment with portograms, darkroom manipulation and take away your own analogue darkroom prints.
Cameras, Film and paper will be provided
If you have your own 35mm film camera, you are welcome to bring it.
An old shirt is required for working in the darkroom.
We'll organise lunch and snacks each day, and you'll get your own university swipe card so you can get a taste of university life. We'll be based in the former Dominion Museum building and we'll kick things off on day one in our on-campus cinema. Please send through any questions to Astrid Visser
