About this Event
Improv is a multifaceted comedic art form with many different approaches to create a fun and successful scene! Spend the summer digging into a new topic every Sunday or choose those that challenge and inspire you as an improviser!
Each week, one of our community members, performers, and aspiring teachers will offer a brand new workshop on a topic of their choice, digging deeper into many of the skills found in our core improv program or exploring aspects of performance not usually covered. These brand new workshops are a chance for aspiring teachers to sharpen their skills and experiment in subjects they are passionate for and for students to experience new perspectives in improv.
This class is recommended for students with some improv experience and who have completed at least Level Two Improv at Stomping Ground or the equivalent training including improvised scene work.
This Week's Topic is: Scene Hacks with Andrew Kennedy
This workshop is intended to help students and performers with stage fright to take a leap as an improviser. Students will learn the tools to create characters and command the audience's attention in the first two lines of a scene and where to go from there! Students will explore initiating boldly and filtering all further choices for your character through this initiation, as well as what to listen for and how to respond to tnhe bold initiation.
This one time drop in class is on Sunday from 3:30-6pm on June 21 and the instructor is Andrew Kennedy. All sales are final. Price of class does not include Eventbrite's service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout.
