Ready to boost the health and productivity of your fruit trees? Join certified arborist and avid gardener Rosina Mak for a hands-on Summer Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop. You'll learn the essential techniques for pruning fruit trees during the growing season to encourage strong growth, improve air circulation, and ensure a better harvest for years to come.
In this workshop, you'll learn:
- Pruning fundamentals and concepts for fruit trees, including apple, pear, and the stone fruits;
- Tree planting and early training;
- Various methods of growing fruit trees, e.g. tall spindle, dwarf pyramid, espalier;
- How to shape your trees for optimal sun exposure and airflow.
This hands-on session will give you the confidence to prune your own trees and keep them in top shape, so you can enjoy bountiful, healthy fruit for seasons to come.
Who Should Attend:
Home gardeners, fruit tree enthusiasts, and anyone looking to improve their pruning skills and tree care knowledge.
Materials Provided:
Tools for the workshop will be provided, but feel free to bring your own pruning shears if you prefer. We'll also provide a handout with summer pruning tips and techniques to take home!
