Want to start your hot squirrel summer, but don't know where to go? Kick off your summer fun at Monee Reservoir. It’s the perfect chance to try something new. Curious about kayaking? Try paddling with a free mini kayak overview with staff. Think you can get the next big catch? Try fishing with one of our free poles and bait samples available at the concession stand. Feeling lucky? Try some yard games with your family and friends. Hungry for more? Try roasting a s’more by the campfire! The concession stand will also be open for food and beverage sales and boat rentals. Fee: Free!

No registration required.
Paddlers must be 12 or older to launch a personal kayak. Those younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the water. Those younger than 12 may accompany an adult in a tandem kayak. All people in a rented canoe or kayak must wear a personal flotation device while on the water. Renters must be 18 or older and bring a valid driver's license or state ID. Waivers must be signed.
Monee Reservoir is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
