SUMMER DANCE INTESIVE VOL 10. PULA

SOMA DRIVE / Alexandra Madsen
U drugoj fazi radionice to znanje prelazi u artikulaciju.
Aktiviraj. Organiziraj. Artikuliraj.
Radionica potiče istraživački duh, osviještenost tijela i kreativnu razmjenu u poticajnom i otvorenom okruženju.

SOMA DRIVE / Alexandra Madsen
SOMA DRIVE is an intensive workshop that approaches somatic perception as an active source of energy and the organization of movement. The work begins with a precise preparation of the body through the establishment of inner clarity—bringing awareness to structure, internal relationships, and the ways in which energy is generated, directed, and sustained.
The focus is not on relaxation or introspection for their own sake, but on activating the knowledge already stored in the body through experience. Here, somatic work becomes a tool for mobilizing potential—awakening capacities that are often underused or dispersed.
In the second phase of the workshop, this knowledge moves into articulation. Through movement material, scores, and sequences, participants develop a vocabulary that is not only constructed but also experienced—movement that releases, strengthens, activates, transforms, breathes, and moves from within. Articulation emerges through experience, through a relationship to dynamics, rhythm, and embodied presence.
SOMA DRIVE develops a body that generates energy from within and translates it into clear, structured, and articulated movement.
Activate. Organize. Articulate.
August 1–7 | daily 9:30–12:00
MEET YAC / Michele Pastorini & Valentin Chou & María Matarranz de las Heras
This workshop is structured in two parts and reflects the physical and creative approach developed within YAC (Yellowbiz Art Collective).
The first part focuses on contemporary dance technique through the sharing of technical tools that form the foundation of the collective’s practice. Participants will explore elements such as floorwork, balance, coordination, and dynamic transitions, with an emphasis on fluidity, control, and the efficient use of the body in space.
The second part focuses on the choreographic process. Through guided improvisation and short movement sequences, participants are invited to explore the relationship between musicality, dramaturgy, and stage presence. The aim is to investigate the transformation of technical material into an authentic choreographic language within a performative context.
The workshop fosters a spirit of exploration, bodily awareness, and creative exchange within a supportive and open environment.
