Swapping promotes the reduction, reuse, and recycling of clothing!You are invited to come and join the summer swap day, bring your clothing and fabrics at The Joinery, on Saturday the 1st of February, 2025.
(Ticket link will be live Monday the 16th of December)
Located at 111 Franklin Street, Adelaide CBD, in conjunction with the Adelaide Sustainability Centre - a community connected by a love for nature and sustainable living, and a desire to lead positive change.
This summer, you can also take part in learning how to repair your garments at a workshop on the same day.
Please bring at least 1 item that needs repairing
2 workshop classes between 11:30am-1:00pm and 1:30pm-3pm.
Limited spots available, up to 10 people per class.
Booking via Humanitix is essential; choose the "Swap + Workshop" ticket option.
NEVER BEEN TO A SWAP BEFORE?
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS.
1. Simply gather a minimum of 5-10 pieces of clothing or fabrics which are in good condition
2. Drop them into the Sustainable Clothing Co store between Monday the 27th and Friday the 31st of January, from 9:30am-5pm (322 Grange Road, Kidman Park)
You are still welcome to bring them in on the morning to The Joinery.
3. On the day of the event (Saturday the 1st of February) come to the Joinery and pick up some new-to-you clothing or unique fabrics to take home!
The number of items you bring in is the same number of items you can take home.
TICKETING: Get your pre-paid $5 tickets by following the Humantix link, or pay with cash or card at the door on the day. Pre-paid swap and workshop tickets are $7.50

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
ACCEPTED ITEMS FOR SWAPPING: both ladies and men's clothing: Tops, T-shirts, pants, jackets, sweaters, dresses, skirts, shirts, blouses, crop tops, bralettes, leather, denim, knitwear, blazers, coats, shorts, bodysuits, play-suits, jumpsuits, vests, leggings, sportswear, hats, bags, purses, shoes, jewellery, scarves, belts.
Excluded items include underwear, socks, babies clothing and children’s wear.

FACILITIES: Proof of Pie Café will be open 9.30am-3pm to cater to your coffee and lunch needs (not included with ticket) whilst you're here on the day. https://proofofpie.com.au/
Toilets are accessible on the ground floor of the building.
PARKING: Street parking is available on Franklin Street and Morphett Street, and the nearest pay carparks can be found on Franklin Street, in the U-Park (entry via Andrew Street) and above the new Adelaide Bus Depot (entry on Grote Street)
At the end of the swap, the majority of the remaining clothing will be donated to supporting homelessness, ex-prisoners and women's shelters, along with Housing Choices SA and the Anti Poverty Network.
Please note, the clothes swap is not a dumping ground for stained, ripped, unwearable clothing, instead ask us how we can recycle your damaged goods, and consider bringing items to the swap that you would give to family and friends
