Registration is now open for 2026 Summer Camps at the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia in Staunton!The Frontier Culture Museum offers weekly summer camps throughout June and July for children ages 5–12. Campers will explore history through hands-on activities, outdoor play, crafts, games, music, dancing, gardening, cooking, woodworking, textiles, interactions with farm animals, and more.
Camp programs are divided by age group:
• Summertime on the Frontier (Ages 5–7)
• Playing in the Past (Ages 8–9)
• Living in History (Ages 10–12)
Each camp provides opportunities for children to learn through exploration, movement, creativity, and supervised outdoor activities in a museum setting. Depending on the age group, campers may participate in activities such as fishing, historical games, baking, historical interpreting, field work, schoolhouse lessons, and historic crafts.
Camps run weekly Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Drop-off is from 8:00–8:30 AM and pickup is from 4:00–5:00 PM at the Octagonal Barn.

• June 1–5
• June 8–12
• June 15–19
• June 22–26
• June 29–July 3
• July 6–10
• July 13–17
• July 20–24
Cost: $175 per camper, per week
Please note:
• Campers must be the appropriate age for camp by the start of camp.
• Registration is required for each child individually.
• Lunch is not provided.
• Registration is not complete until all required forms are submitted.
