About this Event
Powers. Missions. Teamwork.Every girl has a superpower. This week is about discovering it, developing it, and using it for good. Through physical challenges, problem-solving missions, and team-based adventures, campers build strength, resilience, and the confidence to be heroes in their own lives. This is not about costumes. This is about character.Week 6 at The Gathering Place is our action-packed finale—designed to send girls into the school year feeling strong, capable, and connected. In our all-girls microschool environment, campers train like heroes: building physical fitness, mental toughness, leadership skills, and the courage to stand up for others.
What Girls Will Experience
• Obstacle courses and physical challenge training
• Team-based mission scenarios and problem-solving
• "Power" discovery workshops (identifying personal strengths)
• Leadership and courage-building activities
• Martial arts basics and self-defense introduction
• Rescue simulations and helping-others scenarios
• Hero mindset training (resilience, determination, integrity)
• Team strategy and communication challengesEach day blends physical training with character development. Girls face challenges that require strength, smarts, and teamwork. They discover that being a hero means pushing through fear, supporting teammates, and choosing to do the right thing—even when it's hard.
More Than Play
At The Gathering Place, everything is intentional.
We integrate:
• Physical fitness and coordination development
• Leadership skill-building and decision-making practice
• Conflict resolution and "upstander" training
• Goal-setting and perseverance mindset
• Body awareness and personal safety introduction
• Reflection on real-world heroes and everyday courage
• Team bonding and trust exercisesGirls learn that superheroes aren't born—they're made through choice, practice, and heart. They discover their own unique strengths and how to use them to lift others. This is physical, social, and moral development in action.
