About this Event
Books. Besties. Café vibes. Big dreams.Grab your coffee (hot chocolate, obviously) and your favorite book. This week channels the fast-talking, dream-chasing, coffee-fueled spirit of the 2000s—creating a space where girls bond over stories, ambitious goals, and deep friendship. This is not passive screen time. This is active sisterhood.Week 3 at The Gathering Place is inspired by the cultural phenomenon of the 2000s—specifically the energy of ambitious girls, literary obsession, and the kind of friendship that fuels big dreams. In our all-girls microschool environment, campers dive into reading culture, creative writing, coffee shop aesthetics, and the art of conversation. What Girls Will Experience
• Book club sessions with engaging, age-appropriate reads
• Creative writing workshops (fiction, poetry, journaling)
• "Coffee shop" culture and the art of good conversation
• Fast-talking, quick-wit communication games
• Dream-mapping and goal-setting sessions
• 2000s music, fashion, and pop culture exploration
• DIY café crafts and mocktail creation
• Deep-dive discussions about ambition, family, and friendshipEach day blends literary exploration with social connection. Girls read together, write together, and discover how stories—both in books and in life—shape who we become. They practice articulating ideas, debating kindly, and supporting each other's ambitions.
