Timothy Schraeder Rodriguez is a writer and advocate focusing on the intersection of faith, sexuality, and belonging. A former leader in the Evangelical megachurch world and a survivor of gay conversion therapy, he co-founded Church Clarity to help queer people find affirming faith communities. He his a 2026 GLAAD Media Award nominee whose work has appeared in TIME, Harper's Bazaar, ABC News, and The Advocate.
His debut memoir, Conversion Therapy Dropout, explores his journey of healing from religious trauma, getting sober, and embracing his identity as a gay Christian.
Timothy will join Kristen Bear in discussion about his memoir, how sobriety created a path for healing and self-acceptance, and his advocacy work that's making national news.
