Discover the joy of using a sketchbook as a space to explore, experiment and create.
Sketchbooks are at the heart of creative thinking. Whether you’re into painting, sculpture, textiles, jewellery, printmaking, ceramics, interior design – or simply want time to enjoy being creative – this course gives you space to explore and develop ideas.
Your sketchbook will become a place to experiment, play and record your creative journey, where the process matters as much as the final result.
You’ll look at how artists use sketchbooks, take inspiration from well‑known examples, and build your own visual research. Through quick sketches, experimentation and shared ideas, you’ll develop work that supports your creativity and builds confidence.
Using a range of drawing and painting materials, you’ll try new techniques and discover how a sketchbook can be both a testing ground for ideas and a place to create finished pieces.
Inspiration can come from anywhere – everyday life, favourite artists, poetry or music – all shaped into your own personal style.
This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience, and you’ll be supported throughout by our art tutor, Marina.
All our courses run based on a minimum number of participants.
