Week Six (July 16th-19th): Game On! Pre-K through 8th Grade
Which video game character would make the most interesting artist? Can art be something you play with another person? How will your art bring games to life?
Get ready to level up your creativity at Create Your World! This summer, we're bringing together the worlds of art and gaming to explore the endless possibilities of both.
From classic board games to cutting-edge video games, we'll use games as our inspiration to create unique pieces of art in a variety of mediums. We'll design our own game boards, create characters, and even build our own interactive puzzles using technology and traditional art techniques.
Our campers will have the opportunity to work on collaborative projects, learning how to communicate and work together to achieve a common goal. We'll also focus on individual expression, encouraging each camper to bring their own unique style and vision to their artwork.
At Create Your World Summer Camp, we'll be combining the fun and excitement of gaming with the limitless potential of art. Each week a Special Guest Artist will visit us to share their techniques and art within the weekly theme. Camp producer and collage artist Derek Gores will lead some of the prompts in this exciting week full of surreal surprises. Oh, THAT can be art? Get artsy while cooling off with a water activity on Thursday! Then Friday is the big show! Campers will put on an art show to display their water-inspired creations for all to see! Join us for a fun-filled week of exploration, creativity, and endless possibilities!
