Welcome to our Summer Break Art Camp, where kids will dive into the exciting world of art through hands-on activities using mixed materials like clay, rocks, paint, and other cool mixed media!
What kids will learn:
- Creative Techniques: They’ll experiment with various mediums and tools, from sculpting with clay to using paint and natural materials to create mixed-media pieces.
- Self-Expression: Children will learn how to express themselves through their art, developing their own voice and perspective.
Whether it's through sculpting with clay, painting, or working with natural materials, kids will tap into their creativity and have a blast making art!
All materials provided by the studio
- Please send your child with Peanut Free Lunch/Snacks.. Llet me know if any allergies.

Monday – Blast Off! Rockets & Planets
Theme: Introduction to space and the solar system
- Rocket Ship Craft – Build rockets from cardboard, paper, and recycled materials. Decorate with foil and markers.
- Planet Painting – Use watercolors or acrylics to paint colorful planets; explore textures and layering.
- Volcano Rocket Science – Create a small “rocket launch” using baking soda, vinegar, and a mini paper rocket for a safe explosion demo.
Tuesday – Aliens & Outer Space Life
Theme: Imagination and extraterrestrials
- Clay Alien Figures – Sculpt imaginative aliens from air-dry clay; add googly eyes and fun textures.
- Galaxy Watercolor Art – Paint a swirling galaxy with watercolors and salt for a starry effect.
- Crater Science Experiment – Drop balls of different sizes into flour/sand to simulate asteroid impacts and craters.
Wednesday – Stars, Moons & Night Sky
Theme: Observing celestial objects
- Glow-in-the-Dark Star Mobiles – Create mobiles with stars and planets using cardstock and glow paint.
- Moon Phase Painting – Paint the phases of the moon using black paper, white paint, and sponge techniques.
- Constellation Science – Map real constellations on black paper using pins, chalk, or stickers; teach basic star patterns.
Thursday – Space Stations & Exploration
Theme: Space travel and human exploration
- Space Station Diorama – Build a mini space station from boxes, clay, or craft sticks.
- Rocket Launch Painting – Paint a dynamic rocket taking off using splatter, streaks, and bright colors for motion.
- Gravity Experiment – Drop objects of different weights to explore how gravity affects motion; optionally use simple pendulums.
Friday – Cosmic Creations & Parade
Theme: Showcase creativity and teamwork
- Alien Planet Collage – Use magazine cutouts, glitter, foil, and paints to create imaginary planets and landscapes.
- Galaxy Jars – Layer water, glitter, food coloring, and oil to make “galaxies in a jar.”
- Space Parade & Mural – Combine rockets, aliens, planets, and stars from the week into a large group mural; parade around the room showing creations.
